Sustainability Steering Group
The ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ conducts a sustainability steering group meeting every two months throughout the calendar year, the membership of this meeting includes key stakeholders from the University. Our sustainability policies & strategies are opened up to stakeholder consultation.

Terms of Reference
- Oversee the university's sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with the institution’s strategic objectives and commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability. E.g. PRME, sustainable education and UNSDGs, carbon education and climate change. a Northamptonshire Sustainability network structure, and initial event planning.
- Oversee the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy and effectiveness of the operational sustainability factors.
- Foster engagement with stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders, and promote awareness of sustainability issues.
- Agree the definition and coverage of ‘sustainability’ at the university level
- Making coherent balance between sustainability activities for the whole university (e.g. Academic activities, professional activities and environmental issues.
- Create a structure and information flow to ensure all elements of sustainability are reviewed by the university.
- Propose clear KPI’s for the university to be properly remitted to hold management to account to ensure the holistic delivery of sustainability.
- Review the development and implementation of a sustainability communication plan.
- Monitor progress against sustainability targets and objectives, and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
