STEM academics head to The Mall as part of University鈥檚 Festival of Science & Engineering

The 亚色视频 will be taking a trip to The Mall in Luton鈥檚 town centre as part of its week-long Festival of Science & Engineering (10th 鈥� 13th March 2020).

The Mall, Central Space, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 2LJ

The University鈥檚 academics and students from the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) will be taking over the space for one day only, where shoppers, families and passers-by will be able to take part in some hands on activity and get inspired by science and engineering.

People will be able to take part in virtual reality demonstrations, as well making DNA bracelets and getting up close and personal with a variety of scientific curios and robots. Other activities include a Batak reaction challenge, a fingerprint scanner and 3D internal image exploration.

The University鈥檚 Festival of Science & Engineering coincides with the annual , and aims to celebrate the University鈥檚 new STEM building which opened in September 2019. The series of free activities and talks is an opportunity for local people to find out about the amazing new facilities right on their doorstep.

Other events taking place at the University during the Festival include a free lecture on , and a schools day where 280 children from will get a chance to spend a day in the new STEM building, experiencing a day in the life of a university STEM student.
