Enterprise Rent-A-Car awards Beds SU £2,000 for employability

Enterprise Rent-A-Car (ERAC) awarded the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Students’ Union £2,000 to help students build on their employability skills.

was awarded the money from the company, which has a base in Luton, thanks to the strong relationship between ERAC and the University’s Careers & Employability Service.

During this academic year, the Careers & Employability Service has placed 11 graduates in ERAC in a variety of roles.

The money will be used to fund an upcoming Women’s Conference and employability workshops run through the Careers & Employability Service and Beds SU.

Beds SU Vice President for Equality Jasmine Yeates said: “We are delighted to be working with ERAC for the second year. Their expertise and support allows us to offer our students additional provisions for enhancing their employability skills and funding for student campaigns.

“We are also really excited to be working closely with ERAC and our Careers & Employability Service to host an International Women’s Conference next term, plus LGBT awareness activities and a student housing fair.”

The University’s Head of Careers & Employability Michelle Everitt said: “We are very honoured and pleased to have received this donation from ERAC towards our Employability Skills strategy. ERAC is a very positive partner in supporting the work we do in enabling our students and graduates to access meaningful work.

“We look forward to continuing our much valued working relationship with ERAC and providing our learners with opportunities which this donation will support.”
