On track to success
Mon 08 September, 2014The ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ is taking the train to St Pancras International, to promote the University to potential students who might not be aware of just how close Bedfordshire is.
The University, with campuses in Luton, Bedford, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, will be at St Pancras International from today (Monday) until Sunday 14 September.
David Seaton, Head of Student Recruitment said: “People should know there is a university, with superb student facilities, carrying out world-leading research right on their doorstep.”
Stopping points along the train line to the University include Kentish Town, West Hampstead, Cricklewood, Hendon, Mill Hill Broadway, Elstree & Borehamwood, Radlett, St Albans and Harpenden.
Students also have the advantage that London is only a 40 minute train journey away. David explained: “You can treat yourself to the best of what the capital has to offer, including world-class attractions, entertainment, festivals, museums and much more.”
At St Pancras, experts from the University will be on hand to talk through any questions people might have about going to university, university life and courses they can study.
Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions about student finance and get advice on drafting a personal statement for their UCAS application.
The University, which is preparing to receive its next intake of new students at the end of September, still has a limited number of places available for a September 2014 start.
Courses with availability include, Biological Science, Health and Social Care, Business Management, Health Psychology, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Child and Adolescent Studies plus many others.
The University has made enhancing the student experience its top priority. It’s a commitment which has seen students rate Bedfordshire in the recent National Student Survey as the top ranking university in the country for improving the student experience in 2014.
Bill Rammell, Vice Chancellor, ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ, said: “My message to students is - whatever your background or ability, you can flourish here at Bedfordshire.
“Students who choose to join the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ this year can be confident we are committed to ensuring they will have the best possible student experience, backed by high quality teaching, outstanding facilities and great support.”
