Joint Research Centre of Computer Controlled Nanomanufacturing (JR3C)

The Centre was established in 2011 with the joint force from the 亚色视频 on applicable computing and control engineering and changchun University of Science and Technology on nanomanufacturing. The Centre undertakes world-class creative or innovative research and the training of research students in the areas of computer-controlled nano-measuring, handling and manufacturing.

Robotic nano handling and assembly is an emerging field that deals with the controlled manipulation, handling and assembly of atoms, molecules and nano objects by robots for manufacturing or rapid prototyping of nano materials, components, devices and systems with nanoscale accuracy. By precise control of atoms, molecules or nano objects using robots, new nano patterns, structures, devices and systems could be developed. Rapid prototyping is an advantageous feature of robotic nano handling and assembly for design validation, parameter optimization and performance studies.

JR3C has been awarded 7 EU-funded research projects in the areas of nano-materials fabrication and robotic nano manipulation. In an H2020 FETOPEN project, the Centre contributed laser interference technique allowing precise and unified location of quantum dots and developed a Monter Carlo model of the fabricarion process. The Centre is working on 4D nano printing and on robotic nano manipulation of single unit, both withing EU-funded projects with a number of research partners cross the world.
