Radio LaB – the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ’s community radio station – has won two bronze awards at this year’s Community Radio Awards, recognising student work on two special programmes, including coverage of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Luton.

The latest series of the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ’s in-house podcast is being released this November with a focus on sports and the utilisation of social media, to inspire emerging content creators through the help of expert guests from the BBC and trending podcasts.

Radio LaB – the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ’s on-campus community radio station – has been shortlisted for two prizes at this year’s Community Radio Awards, celebrating stations across the UK.

A Graphic Design student from the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ has secured third place in the prestigious Penguin Cover Design Award, battling against hundreds of nominations across the country.

BAFTA award-winning producer and ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ graduate, Sid Cole, recently returned to campus to inspire the next generation of media professionals by sharing his industry experience and knowledge as part of a Media Junction event.

Over the May Bank Holiday, six lucky students from the ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ were given press access to Radio 1’s Big Weekend to meet up-and-coming artists and gather live radio content with the BBC Introducing team.
