About the course
This Foundation Degree offers you the skills and understanding to gain a qualification in the exciting, evolving field of music technology, with learning geared towards today’s workplace.
Using industry-standard technology, you study recording and production (with the option of software programming); explore different musical genres; and practise music business skills.
The course covers music for visual media (film, television, video games and web design); software synthesis and digital signal processing; and composition and song writing. It gives you plenty of opportunity to develop and showcase your creative talents.
In your final year, you work with students on other media courses on a joint project.

Entry Requirements
A Foundation Degree will be of particular interest if you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship, vocational A levels, BTEC National or equivalent.
Foundation Degrees are also particularly suitable if you want to qualify while working.
As a guideline, a typical offer would require you to obtain a UCAS tariff score of between 32-48 points, based on your level 3 studies.
