It allowed participants a distraction free time to write, speak to and seek feedback from other colleagues. The event was specifically aimed at writing collaborative papers for external publication.

Dr Syam Rasaratnam acted as a facilitator, as well as arranging and managing the writing retreat. Several members of University staff participated in the event.

Professor Teerooven Soobaroyen

Professor Teerooven Soobaroyen, Professor of Accounting from the University of Essex, was invited as a speaker.

The event was very successful and Ied to the development of several joint papers among the participants.
